Bergen, Essex and Passaic County, New Jersey
Au Pair USA has several very active clusters of au pairs and host families in Northern New Jersey. Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.
Your Au Pair USA Local Coordinator:

About Dawn:
My name is Dawn Middleton. I have been a Local Coordinator since 1995. I am available to answer your questions, give you advice, and help you to have a great experience here in the United States.
Our New Jersey cluster is only minutes from New York City, a short drive to beautiful beaches and close to mountains, rivers and skiing. The state's many farms, flower gardens and orchards give it the nickname of the "Garden State." There are four distinct seasons here and each one offers unique experiences, sounds and sights! You will need to bring a variety of clothing from warm coats to swim wear. Don’t worry if you forget something there are shopping malls everywhere! In July the average temperature is 21-24C and the January temperature is 1-2C. There are many interesting places to visit in New Jersey such as historical sites, museums, lighthouses, and sports arenas.
Please feel free to phone or e-mail me if you have any questions before you arrive. I look forward to meeting you, and wish you a great au pair year!
Best wishes,
Dawn
