Lansing and Ann Arbor, MI
Au Pair USA has a very active cluster of au pairs and host families in the communities west of Detroit, Michigan, including many areas of Oakland, Ingham, Livingston, Genesee, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties.
Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.
Your Au Pair USA Local Coordinator:

About Sandy:
My name is Sandy Arens. I am available to answer your questions, give you advice, and help you to have a great experience here in the United States.
I have lived in Michigan all my life and studied mechanical engineering. My husband, Steve and I have nine children: five girls and four boys. We have hosted au pairs in our family since 1998. I love being a Local Coordinator and having an opportunity to meet au pairs from all over the world. I am eager to help you make this the best possible year for yourself in the United States!
Detroit, the capital of Michigan, is also called the “Motor City”, home of the automotive industry and Motown music. The Detroit Institute of Arts is one of the finest art museums in the world and the new museum of African American History has received great reviews. Nearby is also the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Canada is a short drive away and many au pairs enjoy sightseeing in Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Please feel free to phone or e-mail me if you have any questions before you arrive. I look forward to meeting you, and wish you a great au pair year!
Best wishes,
Sandy
